NEW UPDATE - OPENING 1st JULY - CLICK HERE
COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Patients,

Thank you for your support and understanding of the limited service we can provide during this unprecedented and difficult time.
The latest update from the Scottish Government has advised that our reopening will be in Phase 2a which will hopefully commence sometime in June (no definite date given yet). We have been working behind the scenes to make sure we are ready for this.

These are a few points for your information:

• In the first stage we are only allowed to see a maximum of 10 patients per day for emergency treatments that do not create an aerosol or spray (we are not allowed to use our drills) Any patients that require treatment involving the use of the aerosols will be referred to the Urgent Care Hubs that have the appropriate masks and other PPE needed to carry out this treatment as safely as possible.

• We have a comprehensive list of everyone who has called us for help since the restrictions were placed. We will be contacting everyone to check on them and scheduling appointments as soon as we have a starting date.

• We will continue to take your phone calls to advise you and prioritise who is at most need of emergency appointments or referral.

• NO routine appointments are to be carried out at this stage. Please do not call for routine check-up or scaling appointments at this time.

• We will be unable to see anyone without an appointment. Appointments can only be made by phone on 0141 882 3640 NOT in PERSON. Please do not be offended, it has been suggested to lock our door to limit the number of people in the surgery at any one time.

• Prior to an arranged emergency appointment we will need to run through a questionnaire about medical history and Covid-19 status in order to assess the risk. We are trying to keep everyone as safe as possible. When you are given the appointment it would be helpful if you could give us your email address and up to date mobile number.

• As the appointments are for emergencies and we are limited 1 dentist present at a time it may not be the dentist you normally see that helps you.

• Please note we cannot take cash payments, so we will require you to pay by card in person or over the phone.

• We may need you to stay in your car/outside until we are ready for you. We will contact you on the given contact number when we are ready.

• We will look different (masks, shields, aprons and gloves) from when you enter the practice, but it’s still us under there, do not worry.

• Please do not turn up early for your appointment as we are unable to allow you to be in the building for longer than is necessary.

• If for a reason there is more than 1 patient in the practice we may ask you to wear a face covering.

• Always please bring updated repeat prescriptions of medications.

• Please attend your dental appointment alone unless prior arrangements with reception or you are attending with a minor or vulnerable patient.

• You will be asked by a member of staff to sanitize your hands, possibly more than once during your visit.

• Please try to minimize the amount of personal belonging you bring to the practice

• All of these things are to keep us safe. Our staff, our patients, our community and everyone’s families.
